Duomo Hotel & Apartments
An icon of Milan
Located at 13 Via San Paolo, the Duomo Hotel & Apartments was designed byarchitect Giovanni Muzio in 1958 on the rubble of World War II. It was completed in 1962, together with the Galleria Longobardi and the palace in Via Hoepli.
Originally conceived as an office building, the building was a symbol of Milan's economic boom of the 1960s. The offices housed activities until 2000, when engineer Giorgio Bonacossa, a far-sighted Milanese entrepreneur, acquired the building and transformed the offices into studio apartments for students of the most prestigious fashion schools.
Bonacossa's vision led him to convert one floor of the building into accommodation space during the Milan Expo in 2015, achieving great success. This achievement convinced him that the tourist-hotel sector was the future.
In 2019, a radical rebranding began that completely transformed the building: from a few rooms in 2015, the Duomo Hotel & Apartments grew to become a major hotel. Today, with 75 rooms that will become 92 by 2026, the Duomo Hotel & Apartments boasts a respectable position as a landmark property in the heart of Milan.
In memory of Giorgio Bonacossa.
